    Tonga Nature Wedding Quilt

Well, as promised it is done and I am going to try to include some pictures of it, hopefully that is an easy process! I thought long and hard about what to name the quilt. I often ask the kids about their memories and it seems that the best ones always start with "when we were in Sicily..."....so the quilt got it's name "Sicilian Romance".

On the label, I included the name of the quilt, their names, wedding date, a phrase (in Italian) saying "may all your dreams come true!" and signed it.

The pattern is Tonga Nature Quilt by Wing & A Prayer. If you make this quilt, please go to their website for the error list. I made this one with batiks, but different from the ones in the pattern. I have never had to choose this many fabrics for a quilt before....usually just a few. I was so nervous, but am totally pleased with the outcome!

It is a wedding quilt for my son who is to be married March 15. I have also made assorted throw pillows and pillowcases to match. I think this and a gift card to JCP to get some sheets and a bedskirt will be a nice wedding gift.

Quilt was pieced by me and quilted by Charisma (here on the board)...kudos to her for making it really pop!

I'm looking forward to seeing this quilt too ... perhaps Charisma has already posted pics of it, and you can direct us to that link?
