    I might take a row off one side and put it on the bottom, so instead of being 4x4 blocks, it's 3x5. Then it might be a better lap size. Then bind or boarder on black. Any way you do it's it's still very pretty.

    I think this is the perfect solution although I don't believe 70x70 is too large for a lap quilt!

    I would add a black or dark border. It would make it Pop.

    I agree...taking it apart would be huge but it is to beautiful to not be happy with it's size! I am not a fan of square quilts so I think taking from the side and adding to the bottom would be the way to go.
