I bought this quilt kit for a full size quilt, and it also came with a pattern for a tablerunner. Since this is a new block for me, I decided to make the runner first to practice the block. It was so easy and went together very quick. I am glad I practiced though because it turns out that not only is it on point, but you have to work with partial seams. I have never done either!! This was a first for me. It took a total of 3hrs to finish the top from start to finish. That includes, choosing fabric, cutting, and piecing!! Like I said...fast! I used fabric from my stash, so I definitely will think again when choosing fabrics. These don't quite work well together in this pattern. Too much of the gold. Now I just have to sandwich it and quilt/bind it. I have no idea how I'm going to quilt it, but I'll figure something out. The pics aren't that good and please ignore my points. I still need to square it up. This was for practice afterall. The next will be better.

You did a great job on the tablerunner. I think it turned out fine. I can't wait to see the quilt.

That is a neat block, but it looks hard.

Interesting pattern and IMO once you get the binding on, the gold won't be too much at all. Pls post a picture of the finished runner and of course of the quilt too.
