VickiM,
Talk about being out of your element -- it appears to me that you're totally in your element! What wonderful work you have done! I thought the same thing many years ago when I coordinated a vocational class at the local community college. I not only coordinated it, I taught a whole lot of it. The first night I was to teach, and I had 25 students in my class, and I was saying to myself, "what in the heck made me think I could do this?" Well, I stumbled through it, and every one of my students who sat for the certification examination passed at the first exam sitting. I give the students the credit, though, because they studied and prepared for the exam, not because of my teaching. The best thing I could do was to convince them to study, and I was successful in that respect! Congrats on your quilt tops. They're wonderful!
