I've never made a t-shirt quilt and not sure I want to from the comments. But...what tips do you have about making them? Do you need to use a zig zag stitch when piecing them so they will stretch with the fabric? What about quilting them?

I cut the T shirt part that I wanted and ironed on a light pellon so the T shirt would be stable then I squared them up and laid them out trying to decide how to fit them together and used regular cotton inbetween. Sewed them on the machine. I used poly stuffing and the pink one was overstuffed. Overstuffing was a bit of a mistake. Then I tied them and the bending over to get the needle through and tying was trying. I think I used flannel on the back to make it soft. The overstuffed one was really too heavy. I don't think my back can take doing another one. The girls liked them so that made it almost worthwhile. Ha.
