Default Two Weeks of home "Quilting Camp" with my DGD

A couple weeks ago I posted pictures of my 12 year old DGD and her first quilt. We had a two week visit and quilted the entire time, I cut and bound, she pieced and quilted gifts for her whole family in Tacoma, WA. She learned to sew a 1/4" seam (and sometimes slow-down). We also ate lots (banana cream pie for breakfast). She flew home today and I already miss her. Here are some pictures of her work. I'm so pleased, she loves to quilt.

Awesome job for both of you! Memories were made that will last your gd a life time. I remember those times with my grandma! Kudos!

Beautiful quilts abd Granddaughter. Beautiful bright cheery colors. Her family will love them. Good for you and her to get to sew together for two weeks. I have two Granddaughters 25 and 18, neither are interested in sewing of any kind.

She's so sweet and looks so proud of what she has accomplished, as well she should. The quilts are all wonderful! Not only did she do a great job, but she is also way ahead of the game as far as Christmas gifts go. It sounds as though the two of you had a terrific time together.

That sounds like so much fun! Her quilts are fun colors and fun designs. I can't wait to spend some time like this with my DGD. She turns eight this fall and I was seriously thinking of getting her a fun little sewing machine.

How cool! She has done a wonderful job already. Great to see a newbie-in-the-making! I'll bet you miss her. Grandbabies are such a joy!
