Was the original black, Joanns black Kona? How many years had it sat, if so? Thanks, was going to buy a bolt of black for our local Quilting Angels is the reason I ask.

Brilliant "save". I'm sure it was a lot of work to redo it, but so worth it. It looks great.

Beautiful scrappy quilt. I heard of black fabric having issues one other time. Someone told me it is from the dye that is so strong. Don't know if that is true or not. You had a lot of work to do to replace the black!
