*I'm ALWAYS in need of cotton, flannell, & fleece,fabric/batting..... if anyone has some they want to donate... PM me for an address*

* I am also working with Kriscraft99 if anyone wishes to make donation towards " items for Veterns"*

Thanks to everyone that has already donated so many wonderful things!!

The Veterns eyes light up when they realize u have brought them a gift......... some have very little to call their own any more..... and these items dont just sit on a shelf.... they re functional to keep them warm and a bit more independant!
Have u ever tried to carry things while using a walker???? I have.. its difficult!

If the snow doesn't keep us in this week , I will be delivering 4 w/c quilts. 12 walker bags to local Veterns

A few of the wheelchair quilts that will hopefully go out to local Veterns this week

this is a wonderful cause... these men and women already gave so much to keep up free.... they desire so much more than I can give them. These small items mean a great deal to them. U should see their faces light up!!!

All because of the generous ppl on this board... I could never do all this without the kind donations, I have recieved from everyone here!!! Thank you a million times over!!!

What a blessing these beautiful quilts are to our veterans.

Just wondering some questions:
Is there a set of quidelines that you use for making these?
ie: Size, materials used, colors?
Do you ever put in pockets on the quilts?

This is my own lil project, not part of any organization, etc... so no.. there are no real quidelines.. I try to make them @ 36x45 or so...I am a retired nurse and use that as a background of what will work. I try to stay with red/white/blue/ patriotic fronts.. but as I work almost entirely with donated items.. that is not always possible. I use what I have and make it work.
I have not put any pockets on the lap /wheelchair quilts. I also have made walker bags and wheelchair bags.

I'd be happy to chat with u or anyone about this project... feel free to PM.. I don't always ck back to posts...
