I heard from many professionals not to use sheets for the backing on a quilt because the thread count is so different from the thread count of the material that we have available to us today. When the quilt is washed the material will not have the same shrinkage as the sheet and will get wonky. Just something to consider in the future when you have something that you have put a lot of money and time into.

what a find!! i only ever find junk. and you did a wonderful job.

btw, that looks like a ralph lauren sheet, part of a set that i currently have, so i think i should have the quilt as well. after all, it's a match, right? it'll look great with the pillowcases. i'll turn then inside out, too.

please change the label first. thank you.

So very glad this quilt top made it into your hands. I remember how hard times were when women were saving feed sacks for everything.
