    Default Want suggestions on borders.

Here is the Deer quilt that I have been working on. I can't decide whether to make another border like the one on the outside and then frame it. Or add other borders of brown, leaves, green, rust and gold. And, then maybe some piano keys. What do you think? What would you add?

Your idea about the borders is what I would do. a piano key border would be good also. Beautiful so far.

What you've done so far is beautiful! I'm not sure I'd add the piano key border...maybe test it first? It might be a little "busy", what with the beautiful "X" type border already on...LOVE that!

It is beautiful, I think I would put one more plain border then binding. The border you have is so nice I would want to frame that . I also agree that piano keys would be to busy and distracting.

The x border you have is lovely, so I would add a narrow plain border before binding it off. I think a piano key border would be too busy against the x's.

I agree with ArtsyOne on adding a thin solid border and then use a contrasting binding! Love your X border!

I agree with the above except if you want more size then a brown border the same size as is on there followed by the orange and/or blue.

I think I would do another brown border the same width as the one there. Then I would audition maybe the leaves as another border around it & then another brown border & bind it in brown.

I agree with everyone. Use a solid color. How about the burgundy in the leaves and bind it with light tan or the green or gold. Very pretty.
