Wedding quilt for my DS and soon to be DDIL
#1
I made a quilt for my DS and his beautiful fiance. She chose the colors and even chose the fabric from a piece I had in my stash. Luckily, I had just bought it and was able to go back and get several yards. We had a wedding shower for them yesterday and I gave them the quilt. They were so excited.
I was playing on ebay one day and saw this pattern for sale. It was a page out of a magazine and was called Writer's Block...no other info was listed. I tried to win the pattern, but someone else wanted it even more than I did. I played around with the pattern in Excel and this is what I came up with after adding my own border. I don't know what size the squares were in the pattern, but mine are 1 1/2 inches finished and there are 2,365 of them total (green & white). (Thank goodness for strip piecing!) I wish I could give credit to the original designer, but, after hours of searching on the internet, I couldn't find who it was.
I am so proud of my son and couldn't ask for a better daughter-in-law! I love them both very much!!
The colors are little off. The green is sort of a two tone pear green color.
