I made this trying needle turn applique and it was in Fons and Porter magazine ( mine has several changes due to mistakes I made) so I made a flower out of the middle to hide the points being off. The pattern in the book was bigger and I stopped here so my daughter could put it on her kitchen table she has red and black. Does it look to bad. Alot of the pieces did not turn out in the correct place. Do you think it looks to messed up to quilt as a table topper? What would you do to finish it? What about squares of the colors on the front to make the back?

Thanks I will take the compliments. My husband says I am to hard on myself with my cross stitch all the time I guess I am going to be the same way with the quilting. Some of the work by all of you is amazing so I guess I am just not to confident in my stuff since I have so far to go before I am as good as some of yall. I have enjoyed what I have tried so far and I guess that is what is important. The Enjoyment.

Those things you are calling mistakes are really just "design challenges" and it looks like you've met all the challenges so far! I think it looks just great period..let alone for a table topper. Proceed forward...and show us your next progress!
