Okay after seeing all this material you guys bring home from sales and thrift stores I decided to give it a try. The store that I go to has 10lb bags of mixed fabric for $4.98 but they had this one that looked pretty good for $1.98. So I grabbed it up and came on home with it and opened it up to see what I had in there. I kept what is shown here plus a few pieces of canvas and a few old bolt wraps from the factory that are marked March 1 1950. I also kept about 2 yards of micro-suede fabric that I am going to make throw pillows for the studio. But there was a ton of polyester and silky shear fabric that I set to the side not knowing what the heck to do with it.
Here is the haul...........

My DH's grandmother made polyester quilts. Just 3" squares sewn together. I received one of them. Put a really nice cabbage rose sheet on the back and had it machine quilted. Made a nice sturdy quilt we used in the camper.
They don't have to be pretty but they're easy to wash and sturdy. Just turn them upside down with a nice sheet backing! Great way to use the "unwanted" polyester.
