You've made a wonderful collection of quilts for the NICU. I'm sure they'll be appreciated.

Congratulations OKSGlad ... a grand assortment!!

I'm sure the parents and families will particularly appreciate your kindness and generosity. Your quilts made with love will surely make a difficult time for them a little easier, with the some cuddly blankets.

When DS & DIL went to see GS on the 2nd day or so there was a quilt draped over his isolette. Earlier they had noticed that every "bed" in the unit had a quilt. And yes the child keeps them.

These quilts aren't really "used" in the ICU so how close the quilting needs to be is not an issue. As one is draped over the isolette it helps shut out some of the bright lights. Preemies eyes are very sensitive. Red and black have proven to be good colors for the infant to focus on. But in answer to your question the closeness of the quilting depends on how I decide to quilt it. The Looney Tunes quilts have been quilted at about your 1" measure, but the large scrappy is probably 1 1/2 to 2".

Thanks for all the kind words. It has been a way for me to pay back all the wonderful care he was given.
