    No, not paper-pieced, it's fat quarters sliced, then shifted around to mix of the pieces, then you re-sew together. Similar to a "Buggy Barn" pattern.

    Really easy to do.............a couple years ago, I did Buggy
    Barn Stars. When "Tree's up" came out, I bought a kit w/pattern, course it is one of the first kit's I ever bought, that I still haven't completed. But I promise it is easy and fun to do.

    I believe that she is just trying to do something nice for someone, creating her own pattern based off an inspiration quilt is not against copyright law, or there would be a lot of quilters in court.
    i'm sorry, but that is not true. it's an easily recognized commercial pattern that is not in the public domain.
