I just finished the quilt top for my son, who is 12 and severely autistic. He loves trains. The mountains and stream represent Sedona and Oak Creek, where we have spent happy times. The railroad ties are all hand-appliqued, which took months! Can't wait to hand-quilt it!!

Pic is a little fuzzy, probably because it's in front of the window. Colors are a little darker than they appear here.

This is a very nice looking quilt. I love how you bordered it--really adds a lot to it. Your son is going to love it! Nice job.

Holy Crow! That's a lot of work. It does remind me of Sedona and Oak Creek. I went there often when I lived in Phoenix. Makes me miss my mountains and the red rocks. I have huge appreciation for the folks like you who have the patience to do this kind of work. I know myself too well to think I can finish such a thing. Brava!

Wonderful job! I can only imagine the time it took to applique those railroad ties.

Wow - it's wonderful. The fabrics you choose really reflect the Sedona area. All those railroad ties! You must be very patient. Great job. I think this will be a huge hit with your son.
