You have some amazing blocks in there- if you have time would you please post a close up of the one on the second line down, second row in? It is my favourite and I'd like to see how you did it (precisely and beautifully, I am guessing :-) )

I love your quilt. The blocks are great and I LOVE the pieced border. You did amazing work.
I am not strictly a beginner (although as someone else said, there's always something new to learn, and I can tell there are techniques in that quilt that are new to me), but I might have to check out that book. I love making samplers.

This quilt is a great advertisement, I guess. I had a giftcard to Connecting Threads, and I just went and ordered not this exact book, but what appears to be a more recent one on samplers by the same author.
