Wow! This is your first quilt? This is sure to sell a couple thousand copies of that book!

Wow! And I saw youc pic of the back as well- you are a neat worker!

You have some amazing blocks in there- if you have time would you please post a close up of the one on the second line down, second row in? It is my favourite and I'd like to see how you did it (precisely and beautifully, I am guessing :-) )

Think this is the one you mean. It is called Celtic Knot and although it took quite a while I loved doing it. (If it isn't the one you meant, let me know.)

I love your quilt. The blocks are great and I LOVE the pieced border. You did amazing work.

I am not strictly a beginner (although as someone else said, there's always something new to learn, and I can tell there are techniques in that quilt that are new to me), but I might have to check out that book. I love making samplers.

Looking at it again, I'm amazed all over again. Some of those blocks are like mini-quilts all in themselves!

That is truly beautiful. Thank you so much for the advice, I am going to order the book now. What a wonderful first quilt.

This quilt is a great advertisement, I guess. I had a giftcard to Connecting Threads, and I just went and ordered not this exact book, but what appears to be a more recent one on samplers by the same author.
