I have had a number of requests to explain how to make the sewing table that was in the post here:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-107460-12.htm#2780292 I thought maybe it would be of interest to some of the rest of you. We started with a table purchased from Craigslist for $20.00. It measured 36X60". The rest should be explained with this. Hope this helps someone else get the sewing area they desire. Ann in TN |
Thank you sew much! I missed the original so was glad you've posted this! my table looks just like that minus the wonderful insert!

Thanks so much for this. I had been trying to explain to my husband that thought I could adapt an old kitchen table that I have into a sewing table but couln't get him to understand what I wanted. Now he sees the light!!!

Thanks for sharing. I do love your room. I am in the process of trying to figure out a cutting table that is more sturdy than the one I have but can be easily moved. And still finding a better way to lay out my room. Maybe someday I will find a place where I can settle and know I am going to be there permanantly Then I can have a permanant room. :-)

Thanks for sharing. It's my hope to one day have a table just for my sewing machine...again. I had one once, lost it in a house fire several years ago and have never found one I like since. This looks very doable.

This is awesome! Thank you. I remember looking at your room the other day.....very nice! :) Thanks for the directions on the table. I so need one of these. I don't have the plastic insert though and my bobbin is on the side-not a drop in. So.....I would have to adjust for those 2 things. :) Thanks again for posting.
