Crockpot mac & cheese?
Does anyone have a recipe for mac & cheese in the crockpot, But I want to put DRY macaroni in. Don't understand why it has to be cooked first. Why can't you just add more liquid? Hope someone has an answer. Thanks.

I am with you... dump all the ingredients in and put it on... would be my preference! Let's hope there is someone that has a recipe. :D

Just google "macaroni and cheese with uncooked macaroni" and several recipe sources will pop up. I haven't tried any of them but they all sound good. Good luck!

I haven't made this one, but allrecipes.com is usually a good source. |
That one does look good. That's the one I printed off. I tried it yesterday, another recipe, and it turned out dry. Thought maybe someone already does this and could help out. I'll try this on Christmas and see if it turns out better.

Pasta takes up a lot of water, that's why we cook it first. I don't know how much you would need to make it in the crockpot. I guess you could cook it first and pour it off the crockpot and then add cheese and salt and pepper and milk, butter, etc.

PlainPat - that one looks better, not so much cheese, does not cook too long and get dry/hard. That's the one I'm going to try. THX for the link!

Thanks for all your help. I just can't believe no already does this.
