Here is my other being bad this week. Bad wiring, but how pretty is this machine. And it turns by hand and picks up the thread like it should. YAY!!

Haven't even wiped the traveling dust off. But it is a pretty thing.

Yeah, you have been bad. Very naughty.

That's a great-looking machine and will clean up beautifully.

I wish I could be double bad! There are next to no machines around here lately. I haven't seen much at all and the couple I saw weren't anything I was able to get my hands on. I am so green jeally!

Nice looking 101. The decals are great on yours! They're a neat machine. They were Singer's first potted motor design and are a gear driven true rotary machine like the 201 too. My daughter's 101 produces a very nice stitch. In case you don't already know, it uses regular sewing machine needles and class 66 bobbins.

Hi , Melinda, congrats on the machine. I have one also . Be sure to oil the bottom of the machine it has oil pots inside the bottom, they need to be filled so the wicking can oil the parts. you will find them when you take the machine apart for cleaning,.. Happy Sewing ,,Dottie Bug

My sewing machine fixer-man put a light on my 1924 machine. He couldn't get the old light to work, so he put LED lights under the arm. Is that a sacrilege? ? ? ? LOL

I'm kind of surprised he couldn't get the old one to work unless it was a case of broken contacts. I'm trying to picture the LEDs and am not having much success.

Well, you should have seen the wires before he changed them. I'll have to ask him again why he couldn't get the old light to work. He told me, but I have forgotten. Something about how it was wired up in the first place.
The LEDs are under the arm, and you can't really see them while sewing except for the last one on the right. It's a strip of nine little spots of light that can be cut into threes. What shows is the red wire that goes from the last light down and behind the motor.
