New Ironing Station made today :)

Today I made this new ironing station with six Ikea Lack Tables and a top I made with plywood. Nice big area to iron on, and additional storage :)

That is cool. Can always use extra storage. My cousin has one similar and keeps all her iron on fusibles and spray bottles and cans of spray starch etc. But I don't have to tell you what you're going to store under. You already know and probably have it full by now.

Great idea! Will have to check those tables out.

I actually don't have anything in it yet… been working on another project… making a sewing table that has a shelf below so my machine can sit flush with the table top. Will finish it tomorrow.

Brilliant! And I love the color

Nice ironing station! I love my homemade ironing board - so much better than using the regular ironing board, and I couldn't afford to buy the one big one at the quilt shows.

Nice idea! :)

It's a nice big surface… 65 x 24.. could have been made bigger, but thats what I had room for and thought was big enough. The tables are about $10 each. I drill holes in the feet and matching ones in the tops and use a peg of dowel and wood glue to make them permanently two high. Then I use zip ties around the middle legs to cinch them together. I stuck small pieces of that rubbery shelf liner between them as a buffer so they aren't squeaking against each other and such. And I use a big piece of that stuff on the top to make the plywood grip onto the top… and voila!
