Thanks for posting. I knew there was an easier way to do that, but I couldn't remember.
Bookmarked for later. |
I bookmarked it to. Never done it that way. Will have to try the next time I do binding. Thanks for posting.

Thanks - I have tried a lot of ways and have bought many templates, and still don't get it. Once in a while I get one to turn out right.

Thanks for Sharing. I like this method. I have a quilt ready to join the binding and am planning on trying it tomorrow.

lisalovesquilting, you turn the first piece of binding up at a 45 degree angle, then cross the other piece over it and turn it up at a 45 degree angle, then cut them off even with the binding like she shows. I use this method any time that I join binding. It works on really wide or really narrow.

After having problems with smooth binding, I discovered this method on the internet. I tried it. I have to say that this is my only method now: it is easy, not frustrating, not complicated, with no measuring involved. Since I have begun using it, I actually enjoy doing the binding process. This works, by the way, whether you are hand sewing a binding or machining it down. No pricey tools or templates are involved, either. This is a winner!!

Thanks for posting this. I'm going to save this for sure to try on my next binding job.
