Workout and Unchained Liberty

2 Attachment(s)
I don't think I lost any weight but I did have a workout today....with a seam ripper! I completely pieced and finished the top. When I hung it to take the photo, before going to the long arm quilter, I saw I had pieced the whole right side upside down (1st photo) between the borders! Hence my workout with the ripper. I had four 9P on the outside edge and 3 by the inner border, so...o..o..o I ripped out the whole long length and flipped it (2nd photo), then re-sewed it between the borders. Took me an additional hour or so. Just when I thought things were going so good, too. I need a name for the quilt (unchained Liberty? since the chains don't exactly link up?) and I do hope this is the last panel like this, that I need to do for awhile. My 3rd with the same panel.....I like the second one I did best, but I do like this one.

I love it & cannot even tell where you flipped it!!!

Had you not mentioned it, and just posted a pic, I never would have seen that. Even with your explanation, I still had to look twice. Looks great, and I think the name fits perfectly.

Glad you caught the anomaly "sooner" rather than after it had been quilted.

Sometimes things just pop out on a photo that are missed when looking at the actual object.

Great top!

Your top is beautiful! While unfortunate that the border was originally sewn upside down, it was worth the effort to turn it right.

It's a beautiful quilt.

Wonderful work! You would have been the only person that would have known, but know that you are much happier fixing the error.

Is that a Quilt of Valor? It is very well done.
