So am I the only person who can take 2 yds. 11 inches of fabric and turn it into a 28 1/2 x 33 1/2 inch quilt top? I actually only had enough original fabric left to make a binding, and not even a handful of other scraps. To top it off I put a 2 in. finished size border on it to start making it bigger and as you can see it is soooo wavy. I have to take that off and redo. I am about ready to scrap the whole project. Up side the green border does actually look really nice next to all the busyness of the top. The colors do not show true here. Well I have vented now to do some reverse sewing to see if I can salvage this mess.

Love the quilt and the green border color is great!! If you can tame the waviness it will be just gorgeous! Can it be quilted into submission?

This is a beauty!! :D:D:D

With OBW it takes 5 yds+ for a quilt top... Remember, if you were making any other quilt pattern, with that many small pieces, you would also use more fabric too. It is amazing how much fabric all of those seam lines eat up :D:D:D

If you need to re-do it, I think a 1" (1 1/2" strip) black border framing the center would look nice before adding the green border. Just a thought-I think it is georgous!!

I would make the green border half as wide and add a 4-5 inch black border and bind it in black also so as not to detract from the center. It is lovely and I would love your secret to doing it with 2yds 11 inches, generally they call for 4.5 to 5 yds of fabric and I hate to throw away that much extra.

Oh my gosh, that is just gorgeous!!! I've never done one........... yet :D:D

I would just shorten the green and reattach. With the way some of the pieces are they end up on the bias and tend to stretch. Lay the top flat and measure. Then mark it about an inch shorter and pin. I would cut the excess off til you know it will lay flat.
