deleting and archiving messages

deleting and archiving messages
Oops didn't know I had limited space in my inbox.... I have never deleted anything...OMG... I never scrolled down far enough.
How do I archive and delete multiple messages? Do I have to go into each one to delete? I have some I would like to save, but lots to delete. Thx

If you open your inbox there are boxes to click on the right side that you can click on the ones you know for sure you want to delete and then at the bottom click on the triangle on the left side or the blue box Selected messages and you can select several options one of them is delete and it will only perform the action on the messages that are selected. I have only deleted. I don't know what the Move to folder would do.
I generally delete them individually as I don't think you can get them back once deleted. But I have done a few at a time if I know I won't need the info.
