    Default What a difference!

I just opened the QB with Firefox instead of IE. Wow! Most of the ads (especially that truly nasty one for toenail fungus medicine) are gone!

I agree! I use firefox on the laptop but desktop seems to have issues with it so I use IE on that. Go figure as they both use the same operating system! But, I can navigate the board much easier with firefox. IE seems to have issues with the board and I frequently have to refresh, which means logging in again, etc. Guess I'll have to fight the desktop and get firefox re-installed on the desktop. Had it before, firefox asked for an upgrade to itself and it all went downhill from there!

Please excuse your computer illerate sister! What is IE and Foxfire? How do you get to choose which will open and read? Sometimes when I have saved a embroidery design, I cannot open it. Would a change to Foxfire solve this problem? Should I go to Foxfire and download something? If so, what to download?

Your help is certainly appreciated. Thanks.

Exactly what I was thinking - thanks for asking the question for the rest of us who are not that savvy with computers. I still can't figure out how to post a picture!

If you are having trouble opening a file that you downloaded, it's probably a matter of not having a file association set up for the type of file. If you have one saved you'd like to try to get opened, post the full file name and I'll try to get it open for you.

IE = Internet Explorer (the big Blue E) and is the browser that normally comes with Windows. There are several alternatives. If you want to try one, here are links

    Mozilla Firefox: http://mozilla-firefox.todownload.com/

    Chrome: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

I think either one will let you import any bookmarks that you've saved in IE. You can set any one of them to be your default browser in Internet Options. If you need further help, just post here and I or somebody else will surely help!

Isn't it wonderful! I do miss those diamond adds though. They are beautiful.
