Nice, m-fay...

I have to bring my sewing machine down for its annual check up so unfortunately will not be able to finish up my April row or add it to the Jan-March section for another 7-10 days <Sigh>. Really excited though because April brought more "yellow" days (60 degree days). Weather man is saying maybe 70 degrees tomorrow and/or Thursday - that would introduce Orange into my quilt and make me happy!!!!

M-Fay, I'm still thinking sherbert when I see your fabrics.
We just got two days in the 80's so can use my yellow greens. It has to stop going up as my fabric is not done for the 90's yet.

I'm liking that a lot, M-Fay!

Imanna- sorry to hear about your sewing machine, hope it has a speedy check-up!

How's everyone coming on their temp. quilts? I just realized that I have managed to go for nearly 2 weeks without writing down the high and low temps (blame it on spring gardening time). Since it's so hot here today (mid 90s) I'm going to remedy that oversight right now.

I've been good about getting temps. The 1st thing I do in the a.m. is go to weather.com to check for previous day's temps and precipitation. I pull the precut fabrics and put them on the design wall. If I have white thread on machine and in bobbin, I sew a couple of days together. I've been using black lately, so have a few days to put together. I know myself and if I don't keep reasonably caught up, it'll never get done.

I write my temp in the evening, and seem to be waiting a week before cutting. It sounds silly, but since I'm English paper piecing with freezer paper, I have to use an iron. I hate turning it on for a short time.

Mnt Grandma- I know what you mean. Since I'm doing half square triangles I'm trying to be super careful about the seams and that means using the same thread (aurifil) and needle (75/11) for consistency. Which means I need to change needle and thread in my machine, so I find myself waiting until I've got a bunch of them to do before I stitch them together.
