Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt 2017 - En Provence

Your computer seems to have wrap around dialogue on! Maybe scant quarter inch seams on both the square and the connection seam?

On most of them I lost to much of the point for a scant 1/4 inch to have helped. I think the triangle block needs a little tweeking for the diamonds anyway so there is slightly more background fabric at the base.

OK, so I'm WAY behind... between the usual holiday mayhem, and hubby having knee surgery, I'm falling further behind.
I have clue# 3 printed out. And also realized my original plan of a single color is NOT going to work here. Darn it. So much for shopping my stash.
I have all of clue#2 cut out, and have stitched a couple of them... I'm NOT liking my seams on these pieces.
I tried four sets on my main machine (which had NO problems with the first clue blocks), and I don't think I've got enough seam allowance somehow.
Then I tried four more on my new baby (1952 Featherweight), and got the same result.
The seams are a scant 1/4", so it HAS to be my cutting that's off. Fortunately, I have PLENTY of this magenta to work this out, if I need to re-cut. If what I already cut doesn't work for this quilt, I'll trim those as necessary to rework them into a different quilt.
I have to go to my LQS and pick up my embroidery machine, so I'll grab my paint swatches, get more FQ's for clue#3, and try to find the Accuquilt die for clue# 2.

I had to make 14 of the magenta squares before I got it down. My cardboard templates from Bonnie's printout were off an eighth or sixteenth of an inch, but it adds up and all my squares were different sizes! I finally went to town & bought a triangle in a square template set.

I think I'm catching up!
I am finished with clue 1 and 3 (the four patches).
Boy, those were a LOT of four patches!
I just started practicing the triangle blocks with some scrap fabric. I've made six of them and it was a breeze. So I'm just waiting for my magenta fabric to arrive and then I'll do those blocks. I'm using my V-Block trimmer from Deb Tucker and the blocks are perfect every time!
At this rate I might even catch up with you guys!!! LOL

I printed off the paper piecing templates for clue 2 (triangle blocks) They printed out 1/8 smaller. I went to chrome and printed it again and they were perfect. I think a lot of people are having trouble because of the pattern not being right. I can only use 4 of the 6 patterns on each page as we need to make the blocks 1/4 inch bigger than the pattern edge and the patterns are to close for that. I hope this makes sense and helps someone from making a mistake or having frustrated times. Sheep farmer sounds like your about to catch up.
