I looked up crockpot cookies and that was the only one I could come up with. But from what I read, that recipe is the basic chocolate chip cookie so maybe another recipe would work. I mean, why couldn't you add a little cocoa powder to the recipe to make it a chocolate cookie (I'd probably delete the chips though). I don't know...just thinking. Probably resemble cookie bars rather than the cookies we get from the oven though. That's fine with me.

i also have a very fussy husband. but he's the greatest too.
Yeah, mine is getting a little fussy too. But I like to cook sometimes just because I want to cook. So it is not to his liking, he won't eat it and that's ok too. I freeze a lot and get it back out little by little.

Is it truly cooked through in the middle? It looks a bit doughy aka chewy. A great idea, though. You're brave. My friend made herb bread in her crock pot for a staff potluck luncheon. Even though she cooked it all morning at work and served it fresh, I'm still reluctant to try the recipe. (and it was delicious, too)

Yes cooked through and through. You might be seeing all the nuts I put in it...same color as dough so could be confusing as to what you are seeing.

Also used instant read thermometer...read over 200 degrees at various points. That's my experience with my crockpot. I know what doughy cake or cookies look and feel like. My husband hates cookies that are not cooked through, and he liked this cookie/bar (or whatever you want to call it). In fact, I have that happen with oven baked cookies (mostly oatmeal seems like).

This was something I did because I wanted to and was willing to take the time to do. I don't think it is brave at all. I just want to try something different, and if it didn't turn out, not much of a loss in my opinion. Your crockpot might be different and you end up with a different result...Just like any cooking I suppose. It worked for me.....

My ambition is to some day make a volcano cake. You know those chocolate ones that ooze chocolate syrup when you cut into them. I am a little chicken, though, because I just hate to ruin food. I can't stand the waste.

Look delicious! I have a mini crock pot so it is hard to downsize recipes for it.

You would have to probably cut this recipe to at least 1/3 of the original, and flatten it out. But heck, you can get a package of the cookie dough easier, and just cut a cookie or two off for oven baking. That's why my friend does. She doesn't want to mess with a full size recipe. She's happy with doing that.

It was...it's gone now. I gave two zipper bags to his brother, one to one of his friends, and kept 1 bag here...They were good.

I found a recipe for crockpot ravioli I am going to make tomorrow. Easy..1 bag of frozen ravioli, 1 jar spaghetti sauce, 1 cup mozzarella. Dump ravioli in crockpot, cover with sauce. Cook 4 hours on low...last hour add mozzarela and finish cooking. TaDa!

I made the ravioli recipe that you mentioned the other day for dinner last night. Came out pretty darn good. The only thing I might change would be instead of 4 hrs and then add the cheese, would be to do 3 1/2 hr and then add cheese. No big deal, but cooking the 4 hrs, some of the sauce and ravioli got kind of crusty around the edge of the pot in a couple of places.
