    8 oz cream cheese
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/4 c softened butter
    12 oz. cool whip topping
    3 1/2 c milk
    2 - 3 1/2 oz. packages instant chocolate pudding
1 pound oreo cookies, crushed fine

Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and butter. Mix pudding, milk, and coolwhip then combine with cream cheese mixture.

Wash an 8 inch flower pot(new) and line with wax paper. Layer with some of the crushed oreos then pudding mixture. Continue layering ending with oreos on top to cover all pudding and appear as dirt. Top with artificial flowers (I put the stems in plastic wrap before inserting). Serve with a clean garden trowel.

    Enjoy!

Here in NJ, we call it "dirt." Alot of people use a bucket to put it in with a shovel sticking out. If you make it with vanilla pudding and vanilla oreos, it is "sand" Some people will put gummy worms in it too for a true garden effect.

Sounds like dirt pudding to me, which always goes fast at my house.

I have made that for several years for Grand children and we call it DIRT CAKE TOO. I put gummy worms in ours and kids love it.

It was served as Cat Litter. They put in a foil pan and had a new clean cat litter scoop with it.
