1 box devil's food cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
3 eggs

Beat dry mix, eggs and filling well
Place in 9 by 13 inch greased pan.
Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon mixture and top with flaked coconut. Bake for about 45 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick. Cool. No frosting needed.
(I have made this with egg substitue and it was great.)
EZ and out of this world. Never lasts long in my house.

This is really an OLD recipe and is really good - try these combinations, too:

yellow cake mix with blueberry or cherry pie filling (add a few drops of almond extract to the cherries) (Plus the 3 eggs)

caramel cake with apple filling (plus the 3 eggs) (I don't think I'd like the coconut with this one.

orange cake with pineapple filling (plus the 3 eggs) - I don't think I would use the cinnamon with this one, but the coconut would be fabulous) - apricot filling would also be good.

You just follow the baking directions as above. You can use any cake mix and pie filling combination you can think of. Top with anything you like (cinn. sugar, coconut, nuts, etc) or not, frost or not as you please, or spread with Cool Whip, or Cool Whip mixed with prepared pudding like in a Jello Poke Cake.

It can be baked in layers, too. I guess the possibilities are endless!
