Turkey baster? Never tried it, but it seems like it would work fine.

This is what I do also, works great for making deviled eggs too!

A coworker told me she uses a squeeze type plastic bottle - like you would squeeze ketchup out of.

I use a ziplock too, gallon sized. And ice cream scoops for cookies, right size every time!

Raising my hand for using the ice cream scoop with the little release arm that swings across the bowl to clear out the batter.

Today I just happened to buy something to help me do the same thing. It is called Wilton Scoop it Batter Spoons. It is a set of 3 spoons, kinda oval shape. They are for mini, regular and large cupcake sizes. the spoon itself is like a shiny heavy plastic and the edges are silicone. I am sure that you can google it or look under the Wilton site. I got mine at Joann's and used a 50% off coupon so I only paid $3 for the set, which I thought was great.

Put the batter in a plastic bag (Ziploc, Glad) and then cut one corner off of the bottom of the bag. Squeeze the batter into the baking cups as if you were decorating a cake.

This is what I use for muffins and cupcakes. They come in 3 sizes. I use the little one for cookies, and the middle one for filling cupcakes and muffins, and the large one for the large muffins. Very few drips.
