The Best Fruit Salad in my opinion!

1 (29 ounce) can peach slices
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks
1 (3 1/8 ounce) box dry vanilla instant pudding mix
... 1 lb strawberry, (quartered)
1 banana, (sliced)
1/2 pint blueberries
1 bunch grapes (I use the red ones)
1 -2 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine peaches, pineapples, and vanilla pudding mix. This includes the juices from the cans. Mix well until pudding is dissolved. Stir in strawberries, banana, blueberries, grapes, and sugar if desired. Chill.

Wow, I would never have thought of using a dry vanilla pudding mix in with the fruit. Guess what's on my shopping list for tomorrow!

As a suggestion ... I would add an extra step ... drain the canned fruit, and dissolve the pudding mix in the liquid. Then add back to the fruit.

Mixing it as originally stated is fine ... though you may discover it's hard to get the mix fully dissolved plus the more you mix it to make that happen, the more you will damage/crush the fruit. To me, it'll be far nicer with the fruit nice and solid!

ENJOY!!! :D

This is good with a few nuts in it too. A friend makes this. Yours is so pretty.

I have been making fruit salads this way for years with a slight variation - I use canned fruit in the winter - diced pineapple and canned mandarin oranges. I drain off the liquid and save it. Then, in a large bowl I put the instant vanilla pudding mix and I use a little of the canned mandarin orange juice until it is "melted" and then I add the sliced bananas - seems to help in keeping them from browning so quickly. We also use miniature marshmallows added at the very end. Any kind of fruit - fresh, canned or probably even frozen will do.
