looking for the perfect snack
Next weekend I am joining my quilting guild for a wonderful weekend quilt camp. We are supposed to bring a snack. Any ideas? I am leaning towards something like gorp or chex mix but I sure would love hear your ideas.

Attended a retreat last week and one of the other quilters had purchased a jar of snack mix (crackers, pretzels and nuts. She then replaced some of the mix with candy corn and Hershey chocolate pieces. The chocolate was larger than a dime and smaller than a quarter. It was awesome. Archer Farms made the snack mix. Chocolate is always going.

Popcorn - vegies cut up - apples - grapes

Cheese and crackers. If you want something a bit different, try goat cheese. Mix the goat cheese with orange zest (grated) and a dollop of honey. Serve with graham crackers or Wheat Thins.

I am gluten free, so I always bring crackers that I can eat. Where I live hummus and pita is popular. |
at our retreat the motto is "if it ain't chocolate, don't bother!".........but I also see fruit, crackers and a fabulous dip of cream cheese with honey mustard poured over it. We try to bring things that won't dirty our hands so we can eat and sew at the same time.

How about Chex Muddy Buddies, (also know as puppy chow). My family loves it!

How about a mixed bowl of salted peanuts and M & M's? Yummy--sweet and salty!

The other quilters usually bring sweets, so I always bring a 3 # can of cashews. Very popular, as is the sweets.
