My thoughts exactly. What's a few banana slices thrown in there too. Forget the calorie count - it's probably "over the moon" .

Both of these sound so super good and easy. They are copying as I write this!

Sounds yummy and I don't usually think about calories. Just for interest sake I see it says 982 cal per 1 cup condensed milk; a bite size vanilla wafer has 13 cal; okay...that's enough of the serious stuff. Enjoy your goodies!

I love taking something like this to the guild meetings or other group events. That way, I can have my cake and eat it too, but not the whole darn thing :-)

At our little church we have sandwiches every Sunday night and one person brings dessert and this will definitely be the first one I make in May.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.

When I was a child, my Mother made these a lot. She called them "Fireless Cakes'.

Quantity question for your banana pudding recipe

My Aunt shared this recipe with my sister who shared it with me. My DH chose it over his favorite banana pudding tonight. That says a lot. Hope you enjoy it too!

layer a 9x 13 casserole dish with vanilla wafers. Mix together 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of lemon juice and one can crushed pineapple (juice included) and pour over wafers. Then put a layer of cool whip over that. Then add another layer of vanilla wafers and top with more cool whip. Garnish with coconut and marachino cherries and nuts if desired. Let sit overnight in fridge before serving. ( you can eat it right away but is better if it sits cause the cookies soak up all the juices and makes it cake like)
Enjoy!!!

Please share with me how many boxes of vanilla wafers and the size of the cool whip container required for this recipe. It sounds good.

have you ever made it with real whipped cream? Not a fan of Cool Whip and wondering how it would come out.

My sister makes this with shortbread cookies (the ones with the horse's head on them) and bananas. It goes fast at parties. Very yummy.
