Pot Roast with root beer

Someone posted a recipe awhile back for a pot roast cooked in root beer.
I think it was for a crockpot, but amn't sure of that.
I looked in the Recipe section, couldn't find it
Anyone remember?

Sounds interesting. Have only heard about recipes using Coke or beer. Did not like beer biscuits at all. I did enjoy the coke and bing cherry jello salad.

I don't know about root beer, but we use a can of cola and a package of dry onion soup mix. But I don't know why you couldn't try root beer instead of cola.

My daughter said she uses rootbeer and it's really good. The kids even like it. lol

The one I remember posted was for pork loin roast in a crockpot with rootbeer. Then pull it apart and serve on rolls with bbq sauce.

Thanks everybody
I'm going to put the rump roast in the crock pot tomorrow morning with root beer, dry onion soup mix and some baby carrots that I have.
Sounds good

Sounds like a fun way to cook a roast! :)

I've made barbeque sauce using a can of coke, some spices and ketchup. It comes out really good, so using root beer doesn't surprize me.

You can do anything with venison that you can do with beef. Anything!!
