I have a simple and quick reciepe:
2 cups s/rising flour 2 cups milk 2 cups sugar 1 stick oleo/butter 1 quart or so of peaches (or any other fruit, canned or frozen or fresh). Mix first 3 indredients together, pour into 9 X 13 greased pan. Pour fruit over the batter, then cut oleo/butter into pats and place at radem over the top. Bake @375 degrees for about an hour or until golden brown on top. The batter cooks up through the batter and makes its own crust. |
Mine is close to the one above.
1 cup self rising flour 1 cup milk 1 cup sugar 1 cube butter (melted) Mix all together and pour over fruit mixture. Bake in a 9 X 13 pan at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or until brown. It is simple and wonderful. I keep fruit in freezer and dump in dish and bake when I have company. If you have any questions you can call me 510-223-7217 or email: [email protected] |
This sounds good...I have more peaches. i will have to try this.
