Sour cream blends better, and makes a stiffer result....use the same amount as the yoghurt. and is about the same or less calorie count.
Plus it is quite tasty too! I leave the whipped topping out! You will see you do not need it.....although the results make this recipe look more like a real Bavarian Cream dessert. Besides, I do not like its artificial taste. If you want, put more of the sour cream on top, or use real whipped cream, for an authentic old world glamour. Experiment.... I use more hot water... as much as the full amount asked for on the box, and layer it in a pretty bowl. This is great with orange jello, or rasberry for Christmas or Valentines day or the 4th.... |
