gave the recipe to daughter-in-law as she grew fresh rhubarb and she made it for Mother's day dinner and it was wonderful.......

Picked our first rhubarb yesterday and made this dessert.....it was wonderful. Makes you want to go back for seconds!!

donnaluigi, did you use a full pint (2 cups) of whipping cream? I have seen this recipe written several times, in two different ways. One calls for a 1 cup of cream, and one calls for 1 pint of cream which is 2 cups. I just wondered what worked for you. Thanks so much.

I used a pint it was perfect one cup would be to small it is suppose too be a custard. I also mixed the rhubuarb and the sugar together before I sprinkled on top of the cake mix.
