15 oz can canned pumpkin (not the pie mix kind)
    2 cups skim milk
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup splenda or sweetner of your choice
    3 tbsp cool whip

Freeze pumpkin so that it is good a firm, but not frozen solid
Put all ingredients in a blender, except the cool whip, and blend until milkshake consistency
Pour into glasses (makes 4 - 8oz servings)
    Top with cool whip

    Cal. 153, Carbs 24, Fiber 6, Fat 4, Protein 4, Sugar 12, Solium 57.

Would be good for breakfast or as a mid morning or mid afternoon snack.

    Enjoy.

Ice Cream Milk shake is 3 to 4 scoops ice cream, 1/4 cup pumpkin, 1/4 cup milk and 1 tsp nutmed. Blend well and enjoy. We made these at our restaurant..and sold about 50 a day of these.

I make a morning breakfast smoothie with pumpkin adding Aria and flax seed. Great idea to freeze it some. I will have to try it.It kind of celebrates fall.

Could you tell me what Aria is? Not musical, I'm sure of that.

Aria is a women's protein powder. Low glycemic I find it at Trader Joe's That and the ground flax seed make it a wonderful way to start the day. I thought about the pumpkin, and maybe freezing it in ice cube trays and adding would make that thickness we like.

Just don't freeze it to hard, that will give your blender a real workout. Ask me how I know (burned my old one up)

I can understand Pumpkin Pie, but Pumpkin Pie Milkshake??
Down here pumpkin is a vegetable so this seems odd to me.
I've seen people talk about roast veges and what they cook.
Have never heard anyone mention pumpkin. Is it not eaten as a vege in America?
Always interested in differences from one country to another.
    Hope to hear from someone.
