    Default Raisin Puff Cookies

    Raisin Puffs
    [TABLE]

    [TD] Boil raisins in water until all the water is absorbed. Cool and set aside. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Mix well. Add raisins and refrigerate for a few hours. Roll into balls the size of a walnut and roll in sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° F. until very light brown.[/TD]

    1 c. water
    1 c. margarine
    1½ c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp soda
    3 eggs
    3½ c. flour

    thanks for the recipe and the trip down memory lane. My grandma used to make these cookies for us. delish for us raisin lovers

    My mom used to make raisin filled cookies and once I asked to make some but she said she didn't make them anymore because she got tired of filling the raisins. ;-) her sense of humor. Your recipe sounds good and easier too.

    I did this recipe but did it the lazy way & bought baking raisins , these are wonderful , Thanks for the recipe !!

    I think you get at least 4 dozen. Not real sure but I used the medium cookie scoop and it seems to make a lot.
