I have a recipe for reuben dip that has sauerkraut in it, if you'd like to have it. Or are you looking for main dishes?

I use a large jar of kraut. Into a pan put 2 Tbsp butter, 1 chopped onion, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 1 cup of orange juice and cook it down. Add a half bottle of beer, caraway seeds and the kraut that has been washed. Serve with brats and mashed potatoes. Happy Eating. Hugs, Omacookie

I like it cooked with pork country-style ribs, pork chops or a pork loin. Season meat according to taste, add a few carraway seeds and a chopped apple. I sometimes lightly saute the meat, then add the sauerkraut. Sometimes I cook it covered in the oven and other times I cook it in a slow-cooker. Delicious!

I make sauerkraut soup. (I think it must be Slovenian. recipe from my MIL)

Use leftover ham with bone or ham hocks
2 large cans sauerkraut (I rinse one and do not rinse the second one so I get some zing!)
Water to cover everything in dutch oven

Cook for 3 or 4 hours
Add 3 cut up potatoes and cook for another hour or till potato is tender

This is one of our favorite recipes for winter especially! Enjoy

I put a small jar of sauerkraut on top of my cabbage rolls while cooking to help flavor them, delicious.
Just spread on top of your favorite recipe.
