    for the nobake cookies. never with butterscotch pudding. That is a new one on me..

    Southern Plate is a great site for southern recipes. The biscuit recipe on the side of the White Lily flour is the one we grew up with.

    kentucky biscuits

    1 1/2 cup flour
    1 1/2 salt
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/3 cup shortening
    2/3 cup milk

    preheat oven to 425* f. sift together flour ,salt,sugar, baking powder. make a well in flour mix.. add shortening and mix with hands..till thoroughly mix. add milk mix till you can just get everything wet. roll out to floured surface..knead 6-8 times..PAT dough to 1/2 inch thickness.cut biscuits .put on baking sheet(i use parchment paper) and brown in oven 10-13 minutes. makes aboit 9 biscuits
