I'll bet that was a typo. $8.00 sounds more reasonable, but we go to Taco John's after Square Dancing every Thursday afternoon and get a good meal for about $4.00 for both of us. And Senior drinks are free. I get coffee to take home for breakfast the next morning and DH gets soda. I've been taking my own cup.

I like to make large cuts or servings of meats then go from there. Such as: 3# meatloaf makes several meals and can be used in a variety of ways. Likewise with small turkey or turkey breast. I put a whole bag of chicken breasts in the crockpot and we have food for several days or freeze. I buy 10# ground beef, add chopped onions then put in cake pans and brown in the oven. Drain and package in 1# or 2# packages for meals later. Some packages get seasoned for tacos or chili.
