White biscuits
Is something wrong with my oven? I have a fairly new gas range, and it won't brown my biscuits. I don't make them very often, but white top biscuits just don't look good. The bottom browns, so why is this happening? I put the shelf up higher...did no good. May have to use the broiler next time.

I make biscuits a LOT, what temp are you using? what is your liquid? I use buttermilk and cook at 400° for 20-25 mins, usually perfect, always good, and yes always make sure the oven is at full temp when you put them in, I cook on a low rack

My oven has a separate switch from temperature gauge and, you can turn it to 1) fan oven 2) top heating 3) bottom heating 4) both top and bottom and 5) grill (broiler to you gals in US), is it possible you have bottom heater on?

How funny, I just put biscuits in my oven and sat down to catch up in the boards... My oven is 450 degrees and I set timer for 12 mins and check sometimes it needs a couple more. - going off now - perfectly browned. Tried to attach smell o vision photo. Sadly did not work.
