A Pfaff 1222 at ANY price is a deal. It is simply, the best machine EVER. I have stripped a gear in mine (given me by my mom, bought when I was a child). It is heartbreaking to know I screwed it up....

Thanks for the reply. The chirping was actually at a fairly quick speed. It's just weird. Why would it loosen when held upside down? That's not happening this time though. It's just plain stiff....
