I wish I lived closer. I have boys, 16, 13, 10. I miss little, squirmy, messy boys! It's so good you reached out for what you need in your life right now. My friend, who taught me to quilt, who was at the birth of all three kids, is moving across the country later this year. I'm losing my escape to place and quilting friend. Enjoy the new people who come into your life through your post and beyond.

Where do you live? Sounds like the situation I found in Ann Arbor MI. Huge guild that meets every other month(400 members). Small "bees" but hard to join. Luckily I met a couple of women from this board that invited me to join them in their home. I travel 30 mins to get there, but the fellowship and laughs are worth it. Disappointed that there wasn't a smaller quild closer like the one I belonged to in TX before moving to MI. When you said icy roads--I thought maybe you are in MI!
