Thanks much. I'm going to go get some Hoppes 9 too to clean some possible problems. I hope I won't have to take it to the repair shop, but good to know it can be fixed.

We always had Griswold at home when I was growing up. That's still my favorite, I have one on my stove top all the time, I have many pans. I do have a dutch oven, but can't tell you what brand.

Anyone ever had or heard of a Singer 99K made of aluminum in 1922 (s/n Y721908). There were only 4,500 made.

I picked one up CL, love it because of the weight. It came in a beautiful bentwood...

My foot pedal for my "99" looked the same, I removed the rust, waited 2 days, then put some Rust-Oleum Flat Black Paint on it. Now it looks like new. That paint stops further rusting.
