Ive been watching youtube on how to make the wedding ring quilt block and the woman keeps saying to use scant 1/4 inch when sewing. Just so confusing..:(

I agree with kuntryquilter. A pinch of salt is what my mother always told me to do. Have had to do it a couple of times.

paper piecing hexagons

Could anyone tell me what size paper hexagon I would need to make a finished 3 inch hexagon? Ive searched everywhere but they all tell me HOW to put it together not what size they make.

I have a deskjet printer from HP. Is it possible to print on freezer paper and fabric or do I need to find a photocopy printer for the fabric? Im wanting to try Hexagon print offs from Inklinkgo.com.

I haven't made the quilt blocks yet. I am just getting started on the blocks. Ive was given a lot of calico scraps and thought this would be a quick quilt to make.

no, Im just using a solid white down the middle and going from there. Im using muslin scraps for the foundation instead of paper.
